Andrew Took His First Steps
Tonight while at a family birthday party Andrew took his first steps!! He is now 10 and a half months old and has been standing all by himself, and so I knew it would be just a short little while before he would start taking his first steps. Tonight was the night. Caylin and I each held on to a hand and walked him all around Marie's downstairs. He appeared to be pretty steady on his feet. Just for laughs and giggles, Spencer stood him up a couple of feet away from me and slowly let him go. I reached out for him and sure enough he took two steps towards me. We of course kept repeating it over and over again with him. The other cool part was he kept saying "mama, mama" I don't know if it was wishful thinking, but it really sounded like he knew what he was saying! What a big boy he is becoming.

Woo hoo!! Go Andrew! I saw him with Caylin at church today (or maybe it was Friday night?) and he sure looked ready to take off!
ReplyDeletewhat a big boy! You know he's just so anxious to get up and moving so he can keep up with his brothers. Won't be long before he's swinging like a monkey down from the trampoline!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Yeah! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that he is old enough to start walking. The first year just goes by way to fast.
ReplyDeleteDon't they start walking around 12 months? If so, that's awesome he's ahead of the curve or whatever. I don't know what I'm talking about. I know.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is that's pretty cool he's walking!
That's awesome! We actually passed by the Bishop (yea!) and Marie's house last night and saw all your familie's cars and commented on what a neat family the Waite's all are. I was looking forward to going to church in St. Helens, but ended up at the Astoria ward where Mark's oldest kids wanted to go. (They use to live there) We'll be back with the younger 4 in the middle of October though and hope to see you then!
